We've Got To Do Better

I hate that this even happens and I now many people may not want to see it, but I post it only to inform our children and try to keep them protected and informed.

I got this as a text message from a friend who's daughter this is. She was fighting on the bus and was sliced on her face.

Please, please, please talk to all the children in your lives about things like this. We no longer live in a time where kids are fighting one minute but become best friends the next semester. Our children are exposed to more violence, drugs and sex earlier and earlier in their lives and the effects are showing up in all kinds of way.

Talking 'Bout Good & Bad Hair...

Chris Rock will be releasing his documentary
Good Hair on October 9th.

From the looks of the trailer it looks like it's going to be a good one,
so grab a few of your girls and learn a little about why we do what we
do in the name of beauty and get a lil giggle in at the same time.

Here's a lil School Daze Flashback for ya...

It's so sad to me that some people labeling women as Jiggaboos or
Wanabees by hair texture, as if that could really tell you the core of a person.

We've got to do better!
