Moon Boots...

Anyone who really knows me knows that I LOVE a good bargain,
almost more than shoes...

So this right here, is a double whammy for me...

I got these boots for 20 bucks...

Now I can give my rain boots a break since we seem to be
taking it back to Noah's days with all this damn rain.

Anyway, I pieced them together with what I think may be the cheapest outfit in history...

  • Shirt- $6
  • Legging - $7
  • 3 rings - $5
  • Boots - $20
  • Belt - That came with 30 buck dress so I'll round that off to about 5 bucks.
  • Hair: By Carline of www.instylhaircare.com (A sister is BAD y'all)
  • Total Cost: $43...Now that's priceless

I'm in Love Again...

See neither Tom Ford (of Gucci) or Alexander Wang care anything about my blood pressure. You can not put things like this out on the market and not expect bad things to happen.

I'm having palpitations...

Gucci Division Over The Knee Boot

Alexander Wang Hanne Triple Buckle Boot

I am plotting as I type this on what I need to do to get these in my life...I don't see this ending well.

Oh yeah...my B'Day is coming up and I'd like to leave a little note to all my friends out there...you are being forwarded...If I do not see one of these pairs of shoes wrapped up real pretty like waiting for me (I can wait until Christmas) I'm not talking to any of you ever again!

Don't forget these, they are an option as well...

Thanks...

Don't Do It Ladies...

I know summer broke out on us like Jackie Joyner Kersee and winter came in with the hawk in tow in New York, but ladies, there is never an excuse for this BS.

OK, OK...Maybe she went work in sandals and her feet were cold and she had some socks in her draw at the office so she just thew them on to get home so her tootsies would be toasty...It's an excuse but dag that looks bad!

I had to do it!

Thanks Janeil a.k.a The Train Snapper!

Twitch, twitch, shake...

Der is a Gawd...

Jimmy Choo's line of shoes and handbags for H&M
will land at their 250 stores worldwide on Saturday, November 14!

Go head...I'll wait while mark your calendars ladies.

Here's a sneak peek of his line...

The studded "Blair" gladiator sandal ($69.95), the black zippered "Lydia" handbag ($99) and a multi-strand chain bracelet ($25.95).

Now as much as I love fashion and all that I never really get hype over things like this because I know I am not going out there the night before to camp out and fight with a bunch of broads over the last pair of pants that aren't even our size. I won't even stay on a line if there are more than 5 people on it...I know, I know, I can't help it...I have no patience. I'm working on it, OK.

I must say though, I am not at all impressed by the pieces they released in this sneak peep. Hopefully they just wanted to tease us and plan on bringing out the big guns in November.

Surprisingly enough though, the collection will not stop at shoes and handbags. Jimmy will be expanding his line to apparel for men and woman.

If you are interested in going and getting your Choo on, I suggest you find an H&M outside of immediate the New York and make a day of it.

Happy Shopping Divas!

Sky High....

Now I consider myself to be a true blue shoe fiend...
The Duchess of Shoes if you will, and I'm proud of it!

There was a day when I was ashamed of my addiction but as
I've gotten older I've learned that sometimes you just have to covet joy,
no matter where you may find it.

Now when I say I love shoes, I mean I love all shoes, sandals, boots, pumps,
even those funky little flats have there place in my heart, but of course
like most women who are a slightly height challenged, I love me some heels!

Besides the long lean lines they can create instantly, I love the way
I feel in them. Statuesque, maybe even a tad regal in the right pair.

But this new line of 10 inch heels from Alexander McQueen is just crazy to me.

Where the hell are you going in these horse hoof looking things???

Can you imagine what your feet looks like in these joints, much less what
your poor tootsies are going to feel like after wearing them for 10 minutes.

I actually like the embellishments on these, but it ends there.
I might have to do something like this on an pair of boots I'm bored with...hmmmm...

These 2 are the most decent to me but that is probably because they don't look
like they are 10 inches...If they were 4 inches I'd rock 'em, HARD!

I am convinced that these are designed by men who hate women or
are are mad that they can't rock heels so they are determined to torture us.

Just looking at these makes me think of ballet class and those torturous toe shoes. I didn't last in that class cause I knew that more than a month in there would ruin my tootsies for sandals for the rest of my life...not happening!
Now these are shoes...

I believe they are by a Korean designer named Johnathan Young (sorry lost some info when my system went out). Bro has some serious designs this season, but these are my favorite.
I hear they are only sold in Canada right now but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled.

I watched an episode of Dr. Oz recently and he stated that we should try not to wear heels over 2 1/2 inches but if we insist on wearing them higher, we should not wear them for more that 4 hours at a time. Also, according to the good doctor, a great exercise to do to help keep your lil' puppies healthy is to pick up things off the floor with your feet.
I guess I'm good cause I'm always doing that.

Also ladies, if your a serious heels girl, you might want to invest in a pair of these.

After a long day in heels I pop mine on for about a half an hour (I've fallen asleep in them).
They are supposed to realign your feet and stretch your toes.

Don't be sucked in by the Yoga Toes Brand, they are super pricey (about $30) and are made of a much harder plastic, where as these are between $6-10 bucks and are playable. They are made by the same people who make the Ped Egg and can be found in some chain drugstores.

They make a great gift and are super practical...
OOOO stocking stuffers, or a Secret Santa gift.

Keep on Hot Stepping in Style (and comfort) Ladies!

Who's Gonna Run This Town Tonight?

So we all know Jay-Z's new song, Run This Town featuring Rihanna & Kanye West (ICK!) is the hotness out right now.

Well my boy DJ Jeff Haze
(
http://www.facebook.com/pages/DJ-Jeff-Haze/6226763374.com/pages/DJ-Jeff-Haze/6226763374)
had a link to the full video on his page so I snagged it for ya...

By the way, he'll be spinning at The Lox Lounge in Brooklyn tonight
(and every Thursday) located @
15 Putnam Ave @ the corner of Grand & Fulton. Tel: 718.930.1316.

ENJOY!

Now I'm feeling the song and video just as much as the next person...I peeped the Tre Cutacious Warriors references here and there, but for real, I'm in a state of total shock by Rihanna's fashion. Yet again the woman has brought us straight FIRE.

If you are a P.E.T.A. supporter stop reading NOW.

Now ladies, I know it's not always realistic to rock a hat with a black veil or fur accents when it's 80 degrees outside (I've done both though...WHAT?... Say something!) but just in case you are feeling gutsy, I've got a great idea for you.

Roll on over to New York's Fashion District (around 38th street & 7th avenue) and buy a fox pelt. I got mine about 3 years back for about $40 bucks. Not every fabric store around there has then but just roll on in and ask if they sell "whole animal pelts". My tag read, "Rio Negro Foxskin".

Looks like road kill, huh?

I prefer getting the whole ones because they are cheaper and you can cut them to your liking and can use any scraps for other projects, like a fur cuff or to accent a pair of boring shoes. Be ready to see a tooth or a paw or something so woman up and just trim that stuff off.

Guess you can tell I'm no P.E.T.A. person...they throw some paint on me and I'm skinning them and rocking them next season!

Anyway, you can either pin the fur to one shoulder or sleeve of a cropped jacket or vest or wrap it around your shoulders for a "stole effect'.

For this look you'd need about 3 pelts

but you could pull off the look from the video with just one.

Now get out there and Run This Town Tonight!

I found a Tre Cutacious Boutique...and they're having a SAMPLE SALE...WHOO HOO!

So on one of my many strolls around my hood I passed a super cute little store called
NJV a.k.a Not Just Vintage.

Most of the clothing in the store is vintage but she does have some really cute stuff by a few designers, one being Alicia P. who makes some great jewelry from leather and hand paints on canvas and t-shirts (got one of those too).

Brooklyn All Day Baby! More Alicia P. Designs...

The first time I was there I got some really cute accessories and the tank...on my last visit I got the cutest turquoise belt, super vintage looking. Not quite sure how to rock it yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something. I just happened to pick up some great pumps from Aldo and I realized that they are also the exact same tint of turquoise...WHOO HOO!

Anyway, the best part of all this is that they are crazy reasonably priced. My belt was only $15 and I think the hand painted tank was like $20 or $25...can't beat that with a bat!
And to top it all off they are having a SAMPLE SALE on Saturday, JUNE 27th...

Happy shopping and may all your purchases be TRE CUTACIOUS!
