It's Shecky's Girls Night Out Time Again...

Starting Tuesday, June 15th through Friday, June 18th,
Shecky's Girls Nigh
t out will be back in New York.

Pop on over to the Shecky's site for more info and ticket sales.

They've got a new bigger location with more vendors and new sponsors so the goodies bag are guaranteed to be worth the $20-35 (depending on the day) ticket price.

Who: You
When: Tue.-Fri., June 15th-18th, 2010
from 5pm-10pm
Where: 82 Mercer St. *New Venue!*
(Spring & Broome Sts.)

This new venue is dangerously close (right across the street) to great bar
called Bar 89 @ 89 Mercer Street.

I threw my b'day party up those steps in the back a few years ago.

So after Shecky's has plied you full of free drinks you can roll across the street for an order of their great buffalo wing platter and use their super sexy unisex bathroom.

The door fades to a smokey purple and reads OCCUPIED once you've entered and pulled the lever. Naughty!

Moon Boots...

Anyone who really knows me knows that I LOVE a good bargain,
almost more than shoes...

So this right here, is a double whammy for me...

I got these boots for 20 bucks...

Now I can give my rain boots a break since we seem to be
taking it back to Noah's days with all this damn rain.

Anyway, I pieced them together with what I think may be the cheapest outfit in history...

  • Shirt- $6
  • Legging - $7
  • 3 rings - $5
  • Boots - $20
  • Belt - That came with 30 buck dress so I'll round that off to about 5 bucks.
  • Hair: By Carline of www.instylhaircare.com (A sister is BAD y'all)
  • Total Cost: $43...Now that's priceless

After Shocky's/Shecky's...

So Shecky's went down this past week and my girls and I went on the last day,
Friday the 23rd. We had a blast as usual.

I just want to give you gals a peek into a real Shekcy's goodies bag.

Be advised the photos of this bag is after I gave a way,
traded, used and ate some of the items in the bag.

The only thing I can say about this one is that it didn't have any liquor in it...Not even one little nip. When my girls and I first started going they had a full bottle of Little Black Dress Wine, then it went to a few nips of Finlandia Vodka in different flavors. Now, nada but it's all good cause they have started putting more full size products in the bag so I'm good with that.

Let me move the stuff around so you can get a better view.

Now you tell me...isn't this worth 30 bucks? And you get to drink all you wane for the night.

The next NY Shecky's Girls Night Out with be start on Thursday, December 17 and end on Saturday, December 19 and be held at Puck Building again. Can't wait.

I'm surprisingly proud of myself though. I only purchased one item. Can you believe it?

It wasn't because there weren't tons of cute stuff to buy but because I am
getting better at telling myself no...maturity rocks sometimes!

Twitch, twitch, shake...

Der is a Gawd...

Jimmy Choo's line of shoes and handbags for H&M
will land at their 250 stores worldwide on Saturday, November 14!

Go head...I'll wait while mark your calendars ladies.

Here's a sneak peek of his line...

The studded "Blair" gladiator sandal ($69.95), the black zippered "Lydia" handbag ($99) and a multi-strand chain bracelet ($25.95).

Now as much as I love fashion and all that I never really get hype over things like this because I know I am not going out there the night before to camp out and fight with a bunch of broads over the last pair of pants that aren't even our size. I won't even stay on a line if there are more than 5 people on it...I know, I know, I can't help it...I have no patience. I'm working on it, OK.

I must say though, I am not at all impressed by the pieces they released in this sneak peep. Hopefully they just wanted to tease us and plan on bringing out the big guns in November.

Surprisingly enough though, the collection will not stop at shoes and handbags. Jimmy will be expanding his line to apparel for men and woman.

If you are interested in going and getting your Choo on, I suggest you find an H&M outside of immediate the New York and make a day of it.

Happy Shopping Divas!

Only in the Hood...

I know tons of people have tried to profit off Michael Jackson's death in one
way or another, but is there anyone out there who can explain this one to me?

I saw this Michael Jackson T-Shirt for sale for $1.99 in the
"Bargain Hunters" in my neighborhood.

Fedora Hat...
2 Random Curls Dangling from the Hat...weird but
4 Fingered Glove...alrighty

Dark Mirrored Shades...

2 Hand Brooms... Scratching head Pictures, Images and Photos

I'm assuming this is what happens when you call your manufacturer in
Indonesiato place a rush order and the language barrier gets in the way.

Maybe "loafers" and "broom" sound similar in Indonesian???
What's your theory?
And yeah, I peeped that halo over the "O" in ICON and I'm not even gonna touch on that!

One Night Only...

It's time for Not Just Vintage to have another Sample Sale...

Looks like they're going to have something NEW this go round,
MINI MAKEOVERS...I could use one of those.

Monday, June 22, 2009

I found a Tre Cutacious Boutique...and they're having a SAMPLE SALE...WHOO HOO!

So on one of my many strolls around my hood I passed a super cute little store called
NJV a.k.a Not Just Vintage.

Most of the clothing in the store is vintage but she does have some really cute stuff by a few designers, one being Alicia P. who makes some great jewelry from leather and hand paints on canvas and t-shirts (got one of those too).

Brooklyn All Day Baby! More Alicia P. Designs...

The first time I was there I got some really cute accessories and the tank...on my last visit I got the cutest turquoise belt, super vintage looking. Not quite sure how to rock it yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something. I just happened to pick up some great pumps from Aldo and I realized that they are also the exact same tint of turquoise...WHOO HOO!

Anyway, the best part of all this is that they are crazy reasonably priced. My belt was only $15 and I think the hand painted tank was like $20 or $25...can't beat that with a bat!
And to top it all off they are having a SAMPLE SALE on Saturday, JUNE 27th...

Happy shopping and may all your purchases be TRE CUTACIOUS!
